Who should attend?
The Highfield Level 3 Award First Aid at Work is a qualification aimed at those who wish to become a
First Aider in the workplace. This qualification is intended for candidates already working or preparing
to work in industry. The award is recognized internationally and to UK standards. Additionally it is
approved by the Dubai Corporation of Ambulance Services (DCAS) and certified by Highfield
Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)
What will they learn?
Persons gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in
the working environment. The topics are important to maintaining good practice in the safe, prompt
and effective treatment of injuries and ill health in the workplace. Candidates will gain confidence to
use these skills through practical application on themselves and in manikins.

Students are assessed throughout the course by instructor observation of the essential skills.
There is also a summative assessment of knowledge and skills at the end of this course.
Certificate and Validity
Level 3 Award First Aid at Work from DCAS, Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC) is valid for 3 years.
Participants should have Basic English skills.
